Welcome to my blog! My name is Lynne Hoeksema and I live in Urbandale, Iowa. My husband of 31 years passed away in October, 2017, and since that time I have felt a strong urging from God to write through this valley. Many friends also encouraged this endeavor as a way of processing this loss, and a blog just seemed like the best route to take. So, here we are, facing a great unknown, (both the future AND this blog experience!), but I’m confident that God walks with me through this journey and will teach me amazing new truths.
My prayer is that what I share here is not just for my own healing, but that you will find nuggets of truth or shared experiences that can also encourage you in whatever situation you find yourself. While “widow-hood” is the umbrella under which I write, I promise you that there will be times you will smile and maybe even laugh at a post or two. It’s not all about being sad, but being faithful to God’s call and His leading. May this be a tool for His glory. Thank you for joining me.
